DECISION ON THE DUTIES, AUTHORITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF COMMISSIONS
ADAPTATION AND EXEMPTION COMMISSION

Evaluates the course exemption and adaptation requests of students coming from domestic and international higher education institutions within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations.

Determines which courses students can be exempted from by comparing the content, credits, and ECTS of the courses previously taken by the student.

Examines the academic backgrounds of students admitted via Vertical Transfer, Lateral Transfer, and Special Student status, and performs course matching appropriate to the department.

Identifies and recommends additional courses that students need to take in cases where course contents do not overlap or remain deficient.

Prepares exemption and adaptation decisions, submits them to the Department Board, and ensures the follow-up of the decisions made.

Works in cooperation with the student affairs unit to ensure that decisions are entered into the system on time and notified to the students.

Archives all necessary documents and reports related to the process; records them in compliance with the quality assurance system where applicable.
