CAREER COUNSELING IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINE

Purpose
The purpose of this guideline is to define the procedures and principles regarding the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of career counseling services offered to department students within the framework of the quality assurance system.

Basis and Quality Assurance Framework
This guideline has been prepared in accordance with the university's quality assurance policy, strategic plan, and career services practices.
The guideline is based on the systematic execution of career support activities linked to program outcomes, stakeholder expectations, and alumni tracking processes.

Scope
This guideline covers the following activities:

Individual career counseling sessions

CV preparation and interview techniques support

Internship and job orientation briefings
-
Job Club training and sector meetings
-
Practices within the scope of the Career Planning course

Career-themed student club activities

Process Management
4.1. Planning: A career activity plan is prepared at the beginning of each academic year. The activity plan is created considering the department's strategic goals, alumni feedback, and sector expectations.
4.2. Execution: Students can receive service through the individual appointment system or announced counseling hours. The sessions held are recorded with the Career Counseling Form. Attendance lists are created for mass training and events.
4.3. Monitoring: Attendance lists and feedback surveys are collected, and quantitative and qualitative analyses are performed.
4.4. Improvement: The end-of-term activity report is discussed at the department board. Improvement decisions are made based on attendance rates, student feedback, and alumni tracking data. The decisions taken are reflected in the next term's activity plan.

Responsibilities
5.1. Department Management: Responsible for planning, coordination, and end-of-term reporting.
5.2. Academic Staff: Individual counseling, CV/interview support, internship/job orientation, filling out the career counseling form, and reporting.
5.3. Student Clubs: Planning and executing career-themed events, and attendance-data collection.
5.4. Department Board: Responsible for evaluating activity reports and making improvement decisions.

Reporting Principles
An activity report is prepared at the end of each semester. The report includes attendance data, feedback results, and improvement decisions taken. Documents are stored in the quality assurance archive.

Enforcement
This guideline enters into force upon being discussed and accepted by the department board. It is updated when deemed necessary in line with quality assurance processes.
