Our University
Kütahya Dumlupınar University was established on July 11, 1992, as the university of a city that witnessed the struggle for both its 'Foundation and Liberation.' It has three campuses in the city center of Kütahya: the Evliya Çelebi Campus, the Simav Dr. İbrahim Naci Eren Campus, and the Tavşanlı Campus, as well as separate buildings in 8 districts.
The Evliya Çelebi Campus, located in the city center of Kütahya, spans an area of over 7,500 decares. The campus is built upon Ottoman-Seljuk architectural philosophy. Entrance to the campus is provided through a monumental gate (taç kapı) featuring two large towers in the center, flanked by progressively smaller towers and arched passages between them. A broad ring road has been constructed around the campus grounds, and vehicle access to the faculty blocks is restricted, effectively separating vehicle and pedestrian circulation areas.
Opposite the entrance gate, aligned on the same axis, stands the Rectorate Building. To the left and right of the square are the faculties of Science and Letters, and Engineering, along with their deanery and academic buildings. Five pools have been built in the square between the entrance gate and the Rectorate Building. Between the pools and the Rectorate Building stands the Atatürk and Dumlupınar Monument, which is the symbol of our university.
Due to its geographical proximity, Kütahya Dumlupınar University is a preferred choice for students from major metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Konya, Bursa, and Eskişehir. It is one of our country's respected educational institutions, renowned not only for its architectural and visual beauty but also for its IT infrastructure, information technologies, educational tools, advanced technology laboratories, projects that inspire social studies, and its young, dynamic academic staff.
Kütahya Dumlupınar University comprises 1 institute, 11 faculties, 1 college, and 14 vocational schools. The university aims to cultivate virtuous individuals who are inquisitive, productive, committed to continuous personal and professional development, environmentally and socially conscious, innovative, and adherent to ethical values. It has adopted the mission of providing services and solutions that enhance the quality of life for the city, the region, and the country.
