Our International Trade and Finance undergraduate program holds a significant position in our rapidly globalizing world, keeping pace with current and economic developments. Most of today's economies generate almost all of their gross domestic product from international trade. Therefore, our department was established to meet the demand for skilled, qualified, expert, and contemporary knowledge-equipped human resources in this field. Graduates of our department will be able to actively take on positions in both the private and public sectors where expertise in this area is needed. They will specifically fulfill the need for specialist staff in areas such as import and export, international marketing, and capital management.
Students in our department will be able to develop strategies related to business and its environment and formulate plans and programs. Furthermore, it is aimed that our graduates will be individuals who can compete in national and international markets and make sound decisions.
The International Trade and Finance department provides a 4-year undergraduate education in addition to an optional English preparatory class. The courses consist of both theory and applications. Through the curriculum, students are intended to gain knowledge of foreign trade transactions, international money market operations, international economic and commercial organizations, international trade law, exchange law, logistics, and Turkey's foreign trade relations, as well as to learn the practical aspects of international product, goods, and service circulation activities.
Students who graduate from the International Trade and Finance department are awarded a bachelor's degree. Graduates of the department work as specialists in the private and public sectors. They can be employed in marketing, import and export, logistics and transportation, finance, management, accounting, and human resources departments in the private sector; and in institutions and organizations such as the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, Eximbank, Banks' Foreign Exchange Units, Exporters' Unions and their Member Organizations, Free Zones, Customs Undersecretariat, and Foreign Trade Capital Companies in the public sector.
